When I looked at the paintings of the Old Masters I saw in their work something that I did not see in contemporary art and so I dedicated myself to studying their methods and materials. 

I guess you could say my style is sort of Renaissance and Baroque painting techniques meets modern art materials and the Canadian landscape.”
